Todays work is done
I have been on the hunt for chairs for weeks now. When it rains it pours, I found 8 in one day. Here are the first 4 that I finished today .Tomorrow they will be in my space @ Vignettes in Ocean Beach CA
They where in bad shape. After sanding, cleaning, priming, a coat of white "opps" paint and then distressing .They where ready for the seats to be covered.I covered then burlap bags I picked up last summer in Roseville CA. I love how they finished up!
Here are some bottles I finished also.
I hope you all have a fabulous evening!
Namaste,
Robin
P.S behind the white chairs you can see a bit of the raised bed my husband built for me. I'll post about that later.

Git-R-Done
I have been helping my friend Pam clean out her dads old barn and sheds. Way back in a dark corner of one of the sheds we found this broken down dirty Sideboard. I knew I had to have it.
I knew she would be a beauty after I give it some TLC..
This beauty is now in my space at "Vignettes" in Ocean Beach, along with some new signs and bottles I made.
The beachy ones are in my space at "Newport ave. Antique Center" come on down....

Open door, open mind.
On one of my visits to Round Top Texas I had in the back of my head that my narrow dining room needed a dining table. I found this door and my wheels started turning.
Next came the legs, The Home Depot is a great source for these. They come unfinished and I painted them white and then used a brown stain where needed.
After some final sanding and added a glass top we had a dining table.
I have enjoyed this table more than any other.
Try this DIY or custom orders are accepted, I also have a chippy blue table in Vignettes right now!

Robin

Mammoth to San Diego and all the treasures along the way.
I had a 400 mile drive ahead of me...more like a 400 mile treasure hunt. After visiting my son in Mammoth I spent a day slowly antiquing home.
First stop...Bishop CA. The store...Cobwebs. After shopping this unique and bustling antique store the owner Kathy invited me to head over to her ranch and dig through her sheds. I had an amazing time.
After a few more stops along the way I landed at the Salvation Army in Riverside where I found a ton of smalls.
Here are the photos of all my goods lined up in the driveway.
and here are all my goods set up in
Vignettes OB
This lantern I made of an old birdcage, lined it and added a light.
best of all we can't forget this cute guy

Back to work....Play...?
I have my mojo back! I have not gone back to my shed and been inspired in a very long time....My husband suggested that we get rid of the dinning chairs that have sitting around for months ,because I'll never get to painting them. Thats all it took....I painted them and recovered the seats in two days. They are off to my space at Vignettes tomorrow. Along with many other cool things. Like this beautiful chandelier.I plan to post again soon....We will see..
